Welcome to the Doodle Wellness Plan
When it comes to our Doodle fur babies, there’s no such thing as too much love — and now is the time to shower them with care and affection.
Adopting a new Mini Goldendoodle or Mini Bernedoodle puppy is the perfect motivation to plan your Doodle’s wellness routine. As pet parents, we understand that there’s no better way to care for our wet-nosed companion than by looking out for their long-term health. We know how seriously you take your pet’s wellness. When they’re happy and healthy, you are too!
Most pet parents understand establishing a thorough bath routine to care for their Doodle’s coat and skin, but fur is only one component of pet health! From eyes, to paws, to brain, your pet needs care in many ways to thrive.
Our month-long cat and dog wellness plan will help you take your Doodle’s health to the next level. This plan helps establish a new habit each week to create a seamless and robust wellness routine for your sweet pup.
Week 1: Doodle Eye And Ear Care

Just like hoomans, our fur baby’s eyes and ears are sensitive, can be prone to issues when not properly maintained, and a vital part of overall health. Start off your Doodle owner journey with a thorough check-up and cleaning of these organs.
How To Clean Your Doodle’s Eyes:
- First, look for any redness or irritation. Healthy Doodle eyes are clear, and the whites of the eye should be bright white.
- Take a washcloth or cotton ball, and moisten it with warm water. Gently use this to wipe around the areas of the eye, including any discharge.
- Clean up the coat around the eyes and ears with a tear and stain remover, like this one. This eliminates any tear or saliva stains and keeps your fur baby looking their best.
- Throughout the month, look out for excessive blinking, pawing at eyes, or redness. These could be signs your Doodle has an infection!
How To Clean Your Doodle’s Ears:
- First, take a look inside your fur baby’s ears. Watch out for parasites, redness, dirt, scratches or discharge. If you see any of these, it’s time to visit the vet.
- Give those ears a good sniff! Healthy Doodle ears don’t have a smell. Unpleasant or yeasty odors are a sign your fur baby might have an infection.
- Then, use a cotton ball doused in mineral oil to gently clean out the ears. Do not go deeper than your first knuckle.
- If your Doodle is prone to itchy or irritated ears, try a natural ear wash to soothe and provide relief.
We recommend thoroughly cleaning your fur baby’s eyes and ears once a month and completing a quicker checkup about once a week and after any outdoor exercise involving sand, bare dirt or water.
Week 2: Doodle Paw Care

Next up in our Doodle wellness plan: those sweet beans! Our Doodle’s paws are one of their cutest features — and one of the most well-used. Your fur baby uses those paws to romp around, dig holes outside, and enjoy long walks.
For Week 2, implement a quick and easy paw care routine. Paws are often overlooked in pet hygiene. They’re not quite as sensitive as eyes and ears, but improper paw care can cause your Doodle a lot of discomfort.
Here Are A Few Ways To Take Care Of Your Doodle’s Paws:
- Trim those nails! When your puppy's paws start clicking or begins to scratch more, it’s time for a trim.
- Do regular paw checks. Debris can get stuck in our pet’s paws; most of the time, you can remove what you find with tweezers.
- Watch out for excessive licking or chewing of paws. This could be a sign of irritation or injury.
- Moisturize and massage! Apply a healing paw balm in circular motions. This will help soothe and prevent cracks — and improve circulation in your Doodle’s paws.
Week 3: Doodle Mouth Care

Everyone loves a kiss from their four-legged family member … but no one likes bad breath. Oral hygiene is a crucial part of your Doodle’s overall wellness! Poor dental health can create issues like gum disease, issues related to eating, bad breath, and costly dental procedures.
If you haven’t already, start an oral care routine with your fur baby!
Here’s How To Take Care Of Your Doodle’s Teeth And Mouth:
- Daily teeth brushing (starting now is better than never!)
- Use dental sticks to supplement brushing and control plaque and tartar.
- For pups, chew toys can soothe teething pain and clean teeth of all ages.
- Schedule a professional cleaning appointment!
Oral hygiene is directly correlated to overall health. When you take care of your fur baby’s mouth and teeth, you boost their holistic wellness! Trust us, your Doodle (and your wallet) will thank you in the long run.
Week 4: Doodle Brain Care

The last (but certainly not the least) component of our Doodle wellness plan is caring for your Doodle’s brain! A healthy brain means a happy, well fur baby — and we know how much you care about your Doodle’s happiness.
Here Are A Few Ways To Boost Your Doodle’s Brain Health:
- Exercise and simulation. Your pup needs at least 30 minutes of play or exercise every day. Use toys, take walks, play pet puzzles … The options are endless.
- Teach your pet a new skill. Training is a great way to keep your fur baby’s brain sharp — and accomplishing the skill will boost their confidence.
- If your Doodle is prone to stress, try CBD chews! CBD helps de-stress your fur baby, while also soothing aches and boosting overall energy.
- For senior Doodles prone to forgetfulness or disorientation, use brain-boosting supplements to protect your pup’s brain health. Younger dogs don’t need this!
Week Four is about creating routines that center your pet’s overall mental wellness. However you choose to do it, taking care of our fur baby’s brain is a great way to show them just how much we adore them.
